Celebration of first year since establishment

In August 2009, a small celebration was held at the Bangarra Dance Theatre function room over-looking Sydney Harbour, to mark one year since establishment of the Tanja Liedtke Foundation.

Supporters and friends of the Foundation, project partners, and the artists involved in the performing and touring of Tanja’s works, came together to celebrate the work of the Foundation in its first year, and to recognise Tanja’s ongoing inspiration.

Our first Tanja Liedtke Fellowship winner, Antony Hamilton spoke to the gathering about plans for his Berlin residency, his own choreographic and visual art practice, and his personal vision for contemporary art that brings multiple ideas and disciplines into  performances that affect and stimulate audience reception

 It was a wonderful evening and we were so very grateful to Bangarra Dance Theatre for donating the venue and attending the event.
